Welcome to the Learn to Meditate with Soul experience. In 9-weeks you will learn everything you need to know to develop a daily meditation practice for life with Soul. We will meet once a week. Create a sacred circle of shared space. Honour the practice, read, journal, ask and meditate. You will learn the essentials for any meditation, best practices for all meditations, spiritual benefits such as Self-compassion, presence and peace, self-inquiry, insight as well as uncover common meditator’s myths.

Learn to meditate with Soul is suitable for beginners and Alumni alike because each class creates its own unique group synergy based on the experiences, curiosities and wisdom of the people who arrive. Since 2015 when I taught my first meditation class, no two classes have been exactly the same. While we read the same book and cover the same topics the questions and discussions that arise are a result of each groups unique synergy. In this way each class becomes tailored to the group that forms. Learn to Meditate with Soul is the perfect place to refresh your knowledge and develop and/or deepen your meditation practice with Soul.
When you learn to meditate you learn to be present with your life.
I have found meditators fall into three categories: 1) beginning 2) developing 3) deepening. Beginners may practice mindfulness or read about meditation but they haven’t yet developed a daily meditation practice. Beginners need the committment, structure and guidance of group mentorship. People developing a meditation practice may have taken courses, used apps or even had a daily meditation practice for a short while but it hasn’t been sustainable. Developers wax and wane with their practice and need renewed clarity, insight and guidance to keep it going. People deepening their practice have a daily meditation practice that is sustainable and continues to grow. These folks are interested in the continual learning meditation brings, the depths of reflection and in sharing the synergy and spiritual insights of a group practice.

Our first class Sept 19, 2024 will be offered in-person for the first time at Ascendant Books- 105-10310 124 Street in Edmonton. You will need a journal and pen, our space will be technology free. Chairs will be available to sit on or you may bring your own bolsters, cushions or meditation bench. Some items are also available for purchase at Ascendant Books. Thursday’s classes will run 715-830 pm.
Carleen has been meditating daily for two decades and teaching meditation since 2015. She has experienced both the benefits and challenges of a meditation practice and can answer your questions, share insights and offer mentorship. Carleen is passionate about inner states of being, creating new Self states and manifesting health, healing and wholeness. She loves the inner spaciousness, presence and embodiment her daily practice gifts and is excited to share that journey with you.
